SOCIAL CALENDARSocial Committee Needed On vary important note, we are in desperate need of a social committee. There has not been a social committee for almost a year - without a committee organizing events and people willing to invite neighbors into their homes, activities have been drastically curtailed. While we have tried to hold a few social committee meetings, no new volunteers have stepped forward. In order for social activities to continue, we need new blood to take an active role. We have several easy to plan, standard annual events throughout the year. We are looking for a few good men/women to get together and brainstorm some creative ideas to generate social fun. We have a lot of new families and it would be great for long time and new neighbors alike to get together. Halloween events for our kids and adults have been planned for this month and a ladies gift exchange in December. Let's start the New Year with a NEW social committee! If you are interested in being a part of the committee, email Laujohnso. If you are interested in hosting or have another idea, contact Laurie Johnson at laujohnso@aol.com.
************************************************************************ Join A Club
Start a New Club If you are interested in organizing a club we don’t already have, such as a book club, or scrap booking club, or any other event, please contact a member of your social committee. Bible Study Join us for a neighborhood bible study. Everyone is welcome, babysitting will be provided if needed. If interested, contact Mary Ellen LaCava 342.0019 or melgo8@adelphia.net. Gourmet Luncheon A Gourmet Luncheon Group meets on the 3rd Friday of the month from 12:00 to 3:00 PM during the school year. Although it is billed as “Gourmet” Lunch, we are using the term loosely, so don’t be intimidated! In the past, we have been able to secure a babysitter with moms sharing the cost. If interested, contact Laurie Johnson at 650.0664 or laujohnso@aol.com. Wine Tasting Anyone who possesses the basic biological equipment, in the form of a nose and palate, can taste wine. Our wine tasting is a competitive event and loads of fun. The host chooses a variety and everyone brings a disguised bottle of wine to enter and one to share. The best wine wins! If interested, contact Natalie Buynak at 656.0488 or mbuynak@alltel.net.
